India elect to bat, Karun and Mukund included

Welcome to the coverage of the second Test between India and Australia at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru, on Saturday.

India captain Virat Kohli has won the toss and has no hesitation in electing to bat.

Having suffered a 333-run defeat in the firsst Test in Pune, India have made a couple of changes to their team.

Murali Vijay has been ruled out with injury and has been replaced by fellow Tamil Nadu opener Abhinav Mukund.

India have also discared the five-bowler theory as Karun Nair comes in as the sixth batsman to replace off-spinner Jayant Yadav.
