STUMPS - DAY 2

Aus 237-6 (106 ovs) vs India 189 | Scorecard

Australia made a strong comeback in the post-tea session as they added 74 runs in 26 overs for the loss of just one wicket to finish the day on 237 for six in 106 overs.

Shaun Marsh top scored with a solid knock of 66, while Renshaw showed great application to hit 60 as they kept the Indians bowlers at bay.

Matthew Wade was unbeaten on 25 and Starc was not out on 14 at stumps on the second day as Australia took a slight upperhand after the second day's play.

If they manage to stretch their lead above the 100-run mark on Day 3, then India will face a stiff task of saving the Test match on a wicket which is getting difficult and their batsmen already short of confidence.

For India, the only way back in the contest is to pick up quick wickets on Day 3 and bundle out the Aussies as soon as possible and then come up with an improved batting performance in the second innings.
