LUNCH - DAY 1

Aus 109-3 (30 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

A superb performance by the Indian bowlers as they kept chipping away at the wickets to reduce Australia to 109 for three in 30 overs after the visitors had elected to bat first on a good batting wicket.

Captain Smith was unbeaten on 34, while Handscomb was six not out at the lunch interval.

Warner suffered another failure with the bat and was dismissed in unfortunate circumstances as he hit a full toss straight back to Jadeja to be dismissed for 19.

Renshaw looked in control as he scored a brisk 44, with the help of seven fours, before he was caught at first slip off Umesh, while Marsh was caught at short leg off Ashwin for two.

If India manage to claim a few more wickets after the lunch break, they could well end up restricting Australia within the 250-run mark.
