Thanks to some brilliant batting by Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson, Delhi have outplayed Gujarat Lions to win by 7 wickets.

Just four runs needed and Delhi have made this chase look so, so simple.

Faulkner makes things easy for Delhi by bowling a wide.

Anderson finishes it off with a six over long on to see Delhi record a superb seven-wicket win,

Rabada! What a direct throw. Karthik hits the ball and it goes to Rabada. Raina runs far off his crease and is sent back by Karthik. Rabada takes aim at the non-striker's end and catches Raina short of his crease.

Left-arm spinner Nadeem comes back in to the attack and Dinesh Karthik takes him on and gets two back-to-back sixes.

This partnership is beginning to hurt Delhi, especially the drop catches of Raina.

Raina sweeps this time for another boundary through mid-wicket.

He gives away six runs in the over but Raina completes another important half century to lead a fightback after those two early wickets.

Karthik times the ball well and cuts it through the point boundary.

He follows that up with a massive six. The ball is short and Karthik latches on to it and sends it sailing over the mid-wicket boundary for a maximum!

19:43 Karun Nair to lead Daredevils

Welcome to the updates of Match 42 of the Indian Premier League.

Delhi Daredevils have won the toss and have invited Gujarat Lions to bat.

Karun Nair will wear the captain's armband for Delhi in the absence of injured skipper Zaheer Khan.

Nair says he chose to bowl first because of the dew factor later in the match and he knows his bowlers can restrict the Lions' batsmen.

The Lions' skipper Suresh Raina says his players will go in with the right approach and will want to express themselves with the bat.

While the Lions have named an unchanged squad, Delhi have made three changes.
