23:54   Pandey out for 33 as KKR's hopes suffer

KKR 153-7 (18 ovs) vs Mumbai 173-5 | Scorecard

Johnson ends his spell with another tidy over, conceding just four runs. Infact, he has given away only six runs in his last two overs to finish with respectable figures of one for 30 in four overs.

Southee comes back as Pandey gets the first ball past short fine leg for a four before substitute fielder Jagadeesha Suchith puts down a tough running catch at midwicket to give Pandey (30) a lifeline.

Kuldeep steers Southee through the thirdman region for another four.

Kuldeep survives a run out chance as he taps it to covers and sets off for a single but Karn Sharma can't get the direct hit with the batsman way out of the crease.

KKR are gifted a no-ball as Mumbai have only three fielders inside the circle however the free hit delivery fetches just one with Kuldeep taking one.

14 runs from the Southee brings the equation down to a manageable 25 needed from three overs for victory.

However, Hardik dents KKR's chances big time with the key wicket of Pandey, who is caught at deep midwicket for 33.

A confident Hardik beats Kuldeep with a pacy delivery that bounces more than expected before he gets a single and Umesh Yadav also gets just one.

Just four runs from the over as KKR are reduced to 153 for seven in 18 overs with 21 needed from two overs for victory.
23:34   Kolkata lose 6th wicket, Mumbai on top

KKR 131-6 (15 ovs) vs Mumbai 173-5 | Scorecard

The fall of wickets doesn't seem to be hampering KKR's approach. Pandey flicks Hardik on the leg side for two runs and then takes a single. De Grandhomme then despatches a short ball over midwicket for a huge six followed by two more singles to get 11 from the over.

Mitchell Johnson comes back as he gets Pandey (22) to edge one but the umpire turns down the confident appeal. Strangely, Johnson didn't go up in appeal but all the Mumbai fielders are up in appeal however umpire S Ravi is unmoved.

This could prove to be a crucial moment in the match!

Pandey is struggling to get Johnson as he play four dot balls in a row before getting a single off the fifth to thirdman.

Hardik cripples KKR with the wicket of de Grandhomme, who is bowled after a quickfire 29 from 16 balls. The ball hurried off the surface and came in enough to take the inside edge and crash into the stumps.

That is a big wicket for Mumbai as it exposes the KKR lower order with Kuldeep Yadav walking out at No. 8.

That wicket has severely dented KKR's rhythm as just three runs come from Hardik's second over.

KKR are reduced to 130 for six in 15 overs, needing 43 from five overs for victory.
23:19

KKR 115-5 (12 ovs) vs Mumbai 173-5 | Scorecard

KKR are in a spot of bother as they are reduced to 92 for five in 10 overs.

Pandey will need to stitch a partnership with Colin de Grandhomme in the middle overs and repair the early damage.

De Grandhomme punches a short ball from Vinay through the off-side for a four before he gets the next fine on the off-side for another boundary.

The last ball is again wide as de Grandhomme helps himself to the third boundary of the over with Vinay going for 14 in the 11th over.

De Grandhomme enjoying the width as he this time steers Krunal through thirdman for his fourth four through the region to take KKR to 115 for five in 12 overs.

Yusuf has smashed his way to 19 from just four balls with KKR desperate to continue their attacking approach despite a few early wickets.

Vinay gets another big wicket in his second wicket, that of Pathan. One shot too many by the KKR right-hander as he ends up lofting it straight to Hardik at long-off to walk back after an entertaining came of 20 from seven balls.

A good start by Karn, conceding just nine runs in two overs despite bowling in the Powerplay while picking up the wicket of Uthappa.

R Vinay Kumar, playing his first match of IPL-10, strikes in his very first over. Lynn pulls a half-tracker straight into the hands of the fielder at deep midwicket to fall for 26 from 14 balls.

Yusuf Pathan has a wild swing off the first ball he faces as he gets a thick outside edge which goes over the fielder on the thirdman fence for a six. He pulls the next ball to deep midwicket for a single.

However, the pacer gets revenge two balls later with the wicket of Gambhir. The KKR top edges the pull shot and is caught at short fine leg after scoring 21 from 16 balls.

Johnson attempts a short ball but Lynn pulls it through midwicket for a four. The last ball is again short and Lynn pulls it fine this time for another boundary.

Despite the wicket, KKR maintain the momentum by getting 14 runs from the fifth over.

Gambhir pulls a short ball through midwicket for a four and he gets another boundary off the last ball to get 11 from the over.

Southee started off with a wicket maiden but he is smashed for a couple of sixes and a four by Lynn in his next over.

He makes the mistake of bowling it full on the stumps to Lynn, who crashes it high over long-on for a six. The fifth ball is again a similar delivery and Lynn again smokes it over the same region for another maximum before whipping the last ball over short fine leg for a four.

Southee goes for 19 runs in his second over as KKR recover to 30 for one in three overs.

Leg-spinner Karn Sharma comes into the attack to bowl the fourth over. He starts with three dot balls to Gambhir, who then comes down the track and lofts it over the covers for a four before taking a single off the last ball.

Mumbai 173-5 (20 ovs) vs KKR | Scorecard

KKR take a gamble as spinner Kuldeep is brought in to bowl the penultimate over.

Pollard picks a single from the second ball before Rayudu takes him to the cleaners. He blasts the third ball back over the bowler's head for a six and then hammers the next ball over long-on for another maximum.

Rayudu goes for another big hit but this time Kuldeep foxes him with the wide delivery which beats him with the wrong one and wicketkeeper Uthappa completes an easy stumping.

Rayudu walks back after a cracking innings of 63 from 37 balls, having hit six fours and three sixes.

Hardik Pandya has a big swing off the last ball but was unable to make a connection.

Boult to bowl the final over and he starts with two dot balls to Pollard, who hits the third ball straight for a couple of runs.

Pollard looks for the big hit but miscues it on the off-side and is caught by Yusuf Pathan on the off-side for 13.

Boult bowls a full toss which hits Hardik on the thigh pad off the inside edge as he gets just a single.

The last ball is again a full toss and Krunal Pandya is also unable to get it away for another leg bye as Mumbai post a healthy 173 for five in their 20 overs.

Mumbai 130-3 (16 ovs) vs KKR | Scorecard

Mumbai look to turn it on. Rayudu crashes a wide delivery from Umesh past point for a four before he pulls a short ball over square leg for a six.

But against the run of play, Mumbai lose the wicket of Tiwary, who is run out for 52 after a huge misunderstanding with Rayudu.

Rayudu could not get hold of a slower bouncer as it bounced on the leg side close to the pitch. The batsman went off straightaway but Tiwary stood his ground before he made a late dash but Umesh by then had already dislodged the bails to get him out.
