Three balls later he steps out and tries to drive it through the covers but fails to find the gap before he keeps strike with one from the last ball.

Rahul produces another cracking drive through the off-side as he hits Lakmal on the up as it goes uppishly but in the gap for another four.

He then hangs his bat to another wide one without moving his feet as he gets an inside edge which narrowly misses the leg stump and goes for a four to take his score to 49.

In the next over, Rahul turns Perera on the leg side for one to bring up his fifty from 64 balls.

He steps down the track and drives the last ball through the covers for another beautiful boundary as India reach 90 for no loss in 20 overs.
