Captain Rohit Sharma led from the front with an unbeaten half-century to help Mumbai Indians down Chennai Super Kings by eight wickets.

Rohit stroked 56 from 33 balls as Mumbai won with two balls to spare, to get their campaign back on track.

Mumbai cruised to 173 for two in 19.4 overs after their bowlers had restricted CSK to 169 for five.

Earlier, Suresh Raina blasted an unbeaten 75 from 47 balls but Mumbai Indians managed to limit Chennai Super Kings to 169 in their 20 overs.

The in-form Ambati Rayudu hit 46 from 35 balls, putting on 71 runs for the second wicket with Raina to lay down a solid foundation.

But Mumbai bounced back in the second half, courtesy of Mitchell McClenaghan, who dismissed Mahendra Singh Dhoni (26) and Dwayne Bravo (0) in a single over.
