Jennings comes forward to defend but gets an inside edge which flies past short leg. He tries to sweep the next ball but is hit on the gloves as he gets one on the off-side.

Ishant getting good movement with the new ball as Jennings gets another thick outside edge but it falls safely before he takes one off the fifth ball.

Jennings takes one off the first ball from Ashwin before the off-spinner strikes a few deliveries later.

Cook comes forward to defend but is beaten by the turn as the ball crashes into the stumps to bowl the left-hander for 13.

That was a beautiful delivery from Ashwin, generous amount of flight to draw Cook forward, who thought he had it covered but the ball spun enough to beat the bat and knock back the off-stump.

Joe Root gets off the mark with a nice drive through the covers for a couple.
