Curran also edges the next ball as it falls short of the slips who is unable to stop it cleanly to give away two runs followed by a single.

Rashid clips the fifth ball uppishly through square leg for two runs.

A beauty from Ashwin, plenty of spin and some sharp bounce, as Curran is drawn forward to defend but is beaten all ends up.

So much turn on offer for Ashwin. India will already regret not playing Kuldeep Yadav, who have been a handful on this wicket.

Curran turns the fourth ball on the leg side for two runs and takes one from the next as England go past the 250-run mark.
