No play possible because of rain

Rain has washed off play on Day 1 of the Lord's Test on Thursday.

Not a ball was bowled on a day that saw rain pelt down on London.

Umpires came out to do one final check, but with the light situation not up to mark, decided to call off play,

England won the first of the five-match Test series at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
