Rain washes out 2 sessions

Tea was taken even as the rains played spoil-sport as not even a ball being bowled on the opening day of the 2nd Test at Lord's in London on Thursday.

The match officials decided to take an early lunch, moving the scheduled break ahead by 30 minutes. Even after lunch, there was no respite from the rain and it went on throughout the afternoon, washing out the 2nd session too.
