Morkel then bowls it fuller and Vijay despatches the half-volley through the covers for a four.

In the next over, Dhawan taps Philander on the off-side and looks for a quick single but his partner is unmoved. The left-hander then steers a slightly wide delivery pat the slips along the ground for a four before he clips the next off his pads to deep square leg for two runs.

He keeps strike with a single from the last ball of the over.

Dhawan then punches the first ball from Morkel, which is fuller, straight down past mid-on, for three runs.
