Welcome to the coverage of Day 4 of the first Test between India and South Africa in Cape Town on Monday.
The fans will be delighted as play resumes on time after the whole of Day 3 was washed out due to rain.
To recap the action so far, all-rounder Hardik Pandya smashed a quickfire half-century and then claimed a couple of wickets to keep India in the hunt, on Day 2.
Pandya blasted 93 from 95 balls, laced with 14 fours and a six, to help India rally to 209 in their first innings.
South Africa, who grabbed a 77-run first innings lead, reached 65 for two in their second innings to swell their lead to 142 runs.
Pandya dismissed both the openers -- Markram (34) and Elgar (25) to keep India's hopes alive in the contest.
