Maharaj needs to come up with a big effort to lift the South Africans, who have gone a bit quiet since the arrival of Kohli, who has played positively to revive the Indians.

He bowls a bit too straight as Vijay clips the first ball on the leg side for two runs before he tries the cut shot but can't beat the fielder at point.

Kohli has been very good with his cover drives. Morkel bowls it fuller as the India skipper drives it through the covers for two runs as the fielder in the deep cleans up.

Kohli looks keen to play a big innings and drive India forward. He drives Maharaj down to long-off for one and Vijay takes a single off the last ball to bring up India's 100, in the 33rd over.

South Africa try a different approach with Morkel switching to round the wicket and looking to bowl short balls at the body of the right-handers.

Vijay offers no shot to the first two balls before he fends the third off his gloves on the leg side, prompting South Africa to have a fielder at short leg.

Vijay then takes on the short ball pulling it to deep midwicket for just a single.

In the next over, Vijay sweeps Maharaj for a four square on the leg side.

Kohli brings up his half-century from 122 balls with a couple on the leg side off Morkel on the leg side.

Maharaj makes the breakthrough with the wicket of Vijay. He tries to play the cut shot but gets an outside edge and is caught behind by wicketkeeper de Kock for 46.

Vijay got India's innings back on track after the two quick wickets early on, putting on 79 runs for the third wicket with Kohli.
