India 11-0 (5 ovs) vs SA; Target to win: 287
| Scorecard

India's openers  -- KL Rahul and Murali Vijay -- walk out to the middle. They will need to give India a good start which should put South Africa on the backfoot straightaway.

Vernon Philander opens the bowling for the hosts. Vijay gets off the mark from the first ball with a single on the off-side before Rahul is beaten off the next ball, poking at a wide one and then sees off the rest of the over.

Kagiso Rabada from the other end ahead of Morne Morkel. Vijay offers no shot to the first ball before he gets two runs courtesy of overthrows.

The two openers are struggling with their running between the wickets. Vijay taps it to mid-on and sets off for a quick run and is lucky that Rabada slipped or else he would have been in trouble.

In the next over, Rabada drops one short as Vijay slaps it through the covers for a four and then takes a single off the fifth ball.

South Africa's pacers looking to bowl it wide and drive the Indian batsmen forward, who have been quite tight with their technique so far.

This is an encouraging start by the openers, hardly troubled so far, as they score 11 for no loss from five overs.
