SA 93-4 (37 ovs) vs India 187 | Scorecard

Bhuvneshwar gets de Villiers to edge but it doesn't carry on the slips and it happens again two balls later as the slip fielder does well to stop it on the bounce and keep it down to just one.

Amla again shuffles across and is hit on the pads as the umpire turns down the LBW appeal.

Infact, Bhuvi turns instantly and insists for the DRS even before asking captain Kohli.

And luck is again not on India's side as the Hawkeye deems that the ball would have clipped the top of the stumps and the decision stays with the umpire's call.

When India didn't take the DRS, the ball was going on to hit the stumps and when they did take the DRS, the decision stayed with the umpire's call.

Interestingly, Umpire Ian Gould signalled to the TV umpire after the decision was referred that Amla might have got some bat on it. Did that make him rule it not out? If there was no bat, would he have ruled Amla out?

The umpire's call is crucial in LBW decisions when the ball is clipping the stumps and not hitting it on the full, hence that signal by umpire Gould about the inside edge makes that decision controversial.

AB steers the next ball past the gully fielder for three runs and Amla takes a quick single off the next ball.

There is a fielder placed at leg slip as Ishant again gets the ball to come in sharply which Amla clips to fine leg for one.

De Villiers has another close shave as he throws his bat at a wide ball and is beaten. That was so close to the edge!

He learns from the mistake and offers no shot to the last three balls.

Bhuvneshwar tries a bouncer at Amla but it goes too high above the batsman and is called a wide for height.

Amla takes a single before Bhuvneshwar bowls AB de Villiers through the gate with the incoming delivery.

The right-hander goes for the expansive drive through the off-side but misses it completely and is bowled for five.

Faf du Plessis gets a cracking delivery first up, the incoming delivery which comes in a long way and bounces quite a bit, hitting him on the thigh pads.

He comes forward to the next ball and picks a single off an inside edge to get off the mark.
