India 17-1 (5 ovs) & 187 vs SA 194 | Scorecard

India make a surprise change at the top of the order as Murali Vijay walks out to open the innings with Parthiv Patel, who comes at the top in place of KL Rahul.

Vernon Philander opens the bowling for the Proteas. Vijay looks to clip the first ball on the leg side but misses before he offers no stroke to the next five balls.

Kagiso Rabada takes the new ball ahead of Morne Morkel, who was hit on the fingers while batting.

He bowls a beauty to beat left-hander Parthiv outside the off-stump. He tries to fend the next ball but it goes over the slips for a four to get India off the mark.

Vijay sees off another over from Philander when he doesn't have to use his bat, watching everything sail through to the keeper.

Parthiv wipes off the lead as he glances Rabada fine on the leg side for a four. Another ball on the leg side is flicked fine for another single.

Vijay leaves the next two balls alone, he has faced 14 balls and hasn't had to touch any one of them so far.

Vijay gets off the mark with a single on the leg side before Parthiv gets a leading edge past the slips for two runs.

Philander drifts on the pads as Parthiv clips it through the leg side for a four.

Philander makes the first breakthrough with the wicket of Parthiv, who is brilliantly caught by Markram on the off-side after the left-hander had got an inside edge.

Parthiv tries to flick it again but gets a thick inside edge on to his pads and Markram does well to react quickly and come up with a superb catch diving forward.

India reduced to 18 for one, with a lead of just 11 runs. KL Rahul, who opened in the first innings, walks in at No. 3.
