England look set for an easy victory with both Root and Morgan looking in complete control.

Pacer Bhuvneshwar, who went for runs in his first spell, comes back but he is easily milked for six singles in his fifth over.

Kuldeep to bowl his final over. Root nudges the second ball fine on the off-side for three runs before Morgan pulls a short ball over midwicket for a six to raise the 150-run stand from 173 balls.

Kuldeep goes wicketless in the series decider, finishing with 55 runs from his 10 overs as he fails to add to his nine wickets from the last two games.

England seem in a rush to end off the match. Morgan slaps the first ball to the man in the deep on the off-side for two runs and then takes one.

Root attempts to pull the short ball from Bhuvneshwar but fails to make connection before he gets one to mid-off.

Spin from both ends as Chahal and Kuldeep operate in tandem but they are unable to make any impression with the ball.

The boundaries have dried up temporarily but the scoreboard keeps ticking with regular flow of singles and twos.

Chahal drops short as Morgan pulls it through the leg side for a four to bring up India's 200, in the 35th over.

Chahal gets some sharp turn as Morgan comes forward to defend but is beaten and even wicketkeeper Dhoni is unable to stop it and gives away three byes.

The next ball again turns sharply as Root is beaten as he comes half forward to defend and Dhoni whips off the bails in a flash. The appeal for stumping is referred upstairs but Chahal has overstepped to give away a no-ball and a free hit.

If that was a legal delivery then Root would have been making his way back to the dressing room as his feet was outside the crease when Dhoni broke the stumps.

Root makes most of the free hit as he whips it over midwicket for a four.

England are cruising on 211 for two in 35 overs, with 46 needed from 15 overs with eight wickets in hand.

Eng 181-2 (30 ovs) vs India 256-8 | Scorecard

The Indian bowlers have been guilty of bowling a lot of loose deliveries, bowling either wide or short. Morgan is able to free his arm as he slashes at a wide delivery from Thakur for a boundary through point.

Pandya comes back into the attack. He doesn't make an impression either, giving away just six runs in his third over.

Thakur gets Morgan to edge one but it flies wide of Dhoni and goes for a boundary.

Eng 152-2 (25 ovs) vs India 256-8 | Scorecard

Morgan has been relatively quiet so far, but he manages to break free with back to back fours off Raina, in the 21st over.

He makes room before playing the inside out lofted shot over the covers for a four before smashing the next ball through the same region for the same result.

Raina goes for 10 in his second over as India's bowlers continue to look clueless against Root and Morgan's positive approach.

Chahal is bowling well as he keeps things tight but with runs leaking from the other end, England are looking in total control.

Kuldeep replaces Raina, who bowled just two overs. After two dot balls, Root sweeps the third ball past short fine for a four and defends the last three balls.

Pacer Thakur comes back as India are desperate to make the breakthrough and keep their hopes alive.

But Root and Morgan easily pick five runs off the over, including a wide as the scoreboard continues to tick.

Kuldeep makes the mistake of giving Root width as he drives the wide half-volley through the covers to bring up his fifty in some style, from 60 balls.

Morgan chips down the track and hammers the last ball powerfully straight down the ground for the second four of the over.

Chahal bowls a superb over to Morgan, who is keen to break free but can only get a single off the last ball of the over after five straight dot balls.

England's quickfire start means that they can play out the spinners cautiously without worrying about the asking rate.

But England are not wasting any opportunity to pick runs off the two spinners.

India make a change as part-time off-spinner Suresh Raina comes into the attack. Morgan punches a short ball through the covers to the fielder in the deep for a single and Root takes one off the fifth delivery.

Raina's final ball of the over is a poor one as he drops short and Morgan comfortably pulls it over midwicket for a four.

Another tidy over from Chahal, as he gives away just two runs in his sixth, as England reach 121 for two in 20 overs, they need another 136 runs from 30 overs for victory at around 4.5 per over.

India's fielding has been a big letdown so far. Root drives Kuldeep into the covers where Dhawan is slow to get down and lets it go through for a four.

Root then turns the next ball to deep square leg for one before Morgan is lucky that the last ball was a bit wide as it turns big and away from the left-hander, who is able to leave it easily.

Captain Kohli constantly urging his spinners to bowl it up as Root defends the first three balls before he slog sweeps the fourth ball through midwicket for a four and then takes a single.

In the next over, Kohli needless throw gifts England three overthrows before Morgan reverse sweeps Kuldeep past the slip fielder for three more runs to take England past the 100-run mark, in the 15th over.

Thakur also drops short as Root pulls it behind square for a four and then takes one followed by two more singles as England race to 74 for one in nine overs, scoring at over eight runs per over.

Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal comes into the attack to bowl the ninth over. And India make the breakthrough as Vince is run out for 27 courtesy of some brilliant glovework from Dhoni.

Root tries to steal a quick run on the leg side but Pandya is quick to get to the ball and send back the throw. It is well short and away from the stumps but Dhoni shows great presence of mind to come up to the stumps quickly, collect the ball with his outstretched right hand and whip off the bails in a flash.

New batsman Eoin Morgan survives a huge shout for leg before wicket as he looks to defend but is beaten by some turn from the leg-spinner.

But Chahal follows it up with a short ball which Morgan hits through the covers as the fielder is unable to stop it and gives away a four.
