Shikhar Dhawan stroked his second successive half-century to guide India to a convincing six-wicket victory against Bangladesh in the second match of the T20 tri-series in Colombo.

Dhawan hit 55 from 43 balls, adding 68 runs for the third wicket with Suresh Raina, who made 28, to put India in control of the run chase.

Manish Pandey finished off things at the end, with a quickfire unbeaten innings of 27 from 19 balls.

Earlier, India's bowlers put in a disciplined performance with the ball to restrict Bangladesh to 139 for eight in their 20 overs.

Jaydev Unadkat picked up three for 38, while all-rounder Vijay Shankar bagged two for 32 and Yuzvendra Chahal and Shardul Thakur claimed one wicket each.

Put into bat, Bangladesh never got going and kept losing wickets at regular intervals.
