Chase, Holder hit 50s to rally Windies

India have not taken the second new ball as Jadeja continues with the old ball.

Chase drives the first ball through the off-side for a single before Holder turns the next ball through midwicket for three runs.

Chase steals a quick single to mid-on before Holder drives the last ball but can't find the gap through the covers.

Jadeja drops slightly short as Chase clips it through the leg side for three runs and Holder takes one off the next delivery.

Ashwin drops short and Chase has enough time to rock back and punch it through the covers for a four before he clips the next ball for one on the leg side.

With no help from the pitch for the spinners and the ball, having being used for more than 80 overs, having gone soft the two West Indian batsmen are batting trouble free.

They easily milk Jadeja for three singles in his 18th over.

Umesh comes back into the attack but India are yet to take the second new ball. He continues with the old ball and gets some reverse as Chase is hit on the pads by an incoming delivery but the leg before appeal is turned down.

A couple of singles from the over before Jadeja continues at the other end as Chase turns the second ball on the leg side for two more runs.

India take the second new ball at the end of 87 overs. Umesh gets a lot of late away movement as Holder offers no shot and wicketkeeper struggles to pouch it in front of first slip.

Holder gets a thick outside edge for two runs to thirdman before he pulls the last ball for a four to bring up his fifty in style from 86 balls.
