India's bowlers kept chipping away at the wickets before Roston Chase rallied West Indies with an unbeaten half-century, on Day 1 of the second Test in Hyderabad.

Chase was unbeaten on 50 to guide West Indies to 197 for six in 65 overs at the tea interval.

Chase and Shane Dowrich (30) put on 69 runs for the sixth wicket to steady the Windies after they were reeling on 113 for five at one stage.

Kuldeep ran through the top order, picking up three for 50, while Umesh claimed two for 60 and Ashwin bagged one.
