England 40-0 (8 ovs) vs Afg | Scorecard

Afghanistan doing well to keep the normally-aggressive Bairstow quiet. Mujeeb starts his third over with two dot balls to Bairstow before he crashes a wide half-volley through the covers for a four.

He then clips one off his pads on the leg side for a single before Vince defends the last two balls.

Afghanistan bowling quite a few short balls, allowing England to release the pressure. Bairstow pulls a short ball from pacer Zadran through midwicket for a boundary to take his score to 15.

A single to Bairstow before Vince clubs the pacer uppishly to the right of mid-off for a four.

Another short ball which Vince pulls as it falls just short of deep square leg for one.

Mujeeb continues as Vince picks a single before Bairstow goes for the pull initially before deciding last minute against playing the shot as the ball turns away.

Bairstow happy to play cautiously against Mujeeb as he plays four dot balls in a row to end another good over from the spinner.

Vince looks to force the issue as he lofts Zadran back over his head for a four and then leaves alone the bouncer.

Another misfield from Afghanistan as Vince gets two runs as it goes through the fielder in the covers.

Vince then plays the pull shot, hitting it uppishly but Mohammad Nabi at deep square leg is unable to judge it cleanly and lets a big opportunity go begging. He was caught in two minds as he initially went back before deciding to rush towards the ball but was well short.
