England captain Eoin Morgan has won the toss and elected to bat against Afghanistan in Manchester on Tuesday.

Morgan has recovered from his back spasm and will lead England but Jason Roy misses out with a hamstring tear and is replaced by James Vince.

The hosts have made one more change as spin all-rounder Moeen Ali replaces pacer Liam Plunkett.

Afghanistan have made three changes as Dawlat Zadran, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Najibullah Zadran are included in the team.

Afghanistan have four defeats from four matches so far but have shown plenty of glimpses of the talent they possess -- especially in a narrow loss to Sri Lanka.

Conversely, the host already have three victories to their name and also beat the Afghans by nine wickets in a warm-up match ahead of the World Cup.
