England 340-2 (46 ovs) vs Afg | Scorecard

Afghanistan trust their most experienced bowler Rashid to continue despite going for runs, as they look for a wicket to stop this England onslaught.

This time Root comes down the track and lofts the leggie over long-on for a six.

Morgan then slog sweeps the fourth ball over square leg for another maximum and ends the over in the same style with another six down the ground, the third of the over.

Rashid also on course for his century, giving away 21 runs in his eighth over, for a total of 96 runs conceded in eight overs.

Morgan has slammed 13 sixes so far, the most by an England batsman in an ODI.

Pacer Zadran starts his new over with a leg side wide. He then bowls a full toss which Root crashes through the covers for a four and then pulls the next to deep square leg for one.

Morgan continues to entertain the crowd as he smacks Zadran down the ground for a six. He then cuts a short wide delivery over the covers for a boundary as Afghanistan look totally clueless on how to stop this England attack.

Root tries the paddle reverse off the last ball but fails to make connection.

England in sight of 400 as they smash their way to 340 for two in 46 overs.

Morgan has hammered 129 from 66 balls at a strike rate of nearly 200, hitting 14 sixes and four fours, while Root is on 88 from 81 balls.
