Following the chat, he watchfully defends the next two balls and takes a single off the last ball.

The struggling Kuldeeep is called back into the attack, with two close in catchers, at slip and leg slip.

The scoring rate has taken a dip with Nicholls struggling to get the spinners away, even for singles. Four more dot balls against Kuldeep before he takes one off the fifth to long-on.

Taylor survives a close shout for run out as he is slow to get his bat in the crease while completing the run before he defends the last ball.

In the next over, Jadeja drops short and Nicholls breaks the shackles as he pulls it comfortably through square leg for a four. He then goes back to his favoured sweep shot but can't beat the fielder at square leg.

He finally gets the sweep right, hitting it fine for a single to fine leg.
