India 28-3 (6 ovs) vs NZ | Scorecard

Southee continues as Rahul leaves the first ball before defending the next. Southee then beats Rahul with a sharp incoming delivery as the right-hander plays down the wrong line and is hit on the pads.

The LBW appeal is turned down before NZ take the review, but the ball is going down the leg side and missing the stumps as Rahul survives.

Rahul again runs down the ball down to thirdman for one before Kohli clips the last ball behind square for a couple.

In the next over, Rahul crashes a wide delivery from Boult through the covers for a four.

But Boult gets his man two balls later, as Rahul looks to defend a short ball but ends up playing it back on to his stumps to be bowled for six.

A good change up from Boult as he shortened his length and Rahul, who was looking to come forward, was caught by surprise and only ended up deflecting it back on to his stumps.

Hardik Pandya comes in at No 5 ahead of Dinesh Karthik and Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He defends the first ball he faces, from Boult, before pulling the last ball confidently over midwicket for a four to get off the mark in confident fashion.

A wonderful start with the ball for Boult, who has taken three for 14 in three overs, to leave India reeling on 28 for three in six overs.
