India 4-1 (2 ovs) vs NZ | Scorecard

Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan walk out to open the batting for New Zealand, while Tim Southee will bowl the first over.

The sun is out now as Southee starts off with a leg side delivery which Rohit clips to fine leg for one to get India off the mark.

The next ball is again on the pads, this time to Dhawan, who taps it to square leg for a single.

Southee then gets his line right, bowling it outside the line of off-stump and Rohit is happy to leave before he takes a single.

Dhawan then plays a loose shot, going after a wide delivery but is beaten.

Left-arm pacer Trent Boult from the other end. The first ball is a cracker, virtually unplayable, making Rohit play and moves away enough to past the edge.

The next ball is again full and comes in as Rohit plays from the crease but is beaten and is trapped leg before wicket. He consults his partner Dhawan and decides to take the DRS, but it stays with the umpire's decision as the ball is clipping the top of the stumps.

Rohit walks back for 2 as India lose an early wicket.

Captain Virat Kohli comes in at No 3 and he picks a leg bye before Dhawan is cautious against Bolt, who is getting a lot of movement away from the left-hander.
