Rohit clips Robinson to deep square leg for a single to take his score to 36 -- to equal his highest score in England.

The third ball is down the leg side to Rahul as wicketkeeper is unable to stop it cleanly and concedes four leg byes as India go past the 50-run mark.

Rohit and Rahul continue to make an impact with the bat with another 50-run stand as England are unable to make most of bowling first in overcast conditions.

This is the first 50-run partnership by the Indian openers in the first innings of a Test match at Lord's since 1952.

Rahul gets hit on the pads by the incoming delivery as he takes a leg bye.

Rohit gets an edge off the last ball but he has played it with soft hands as it goes along the ground through the slips for a four.

Some extra bounce for Wood as Rahul fends it on the leg side for a single before Rohit defends the next and plays out the rest of the over.

Robinson tries the incoming delivery which goes down the leg side to Rahul. The next ball again slips down the leg side as Rahul attempts the fine glance but fails to make connection.

He finally gets it right as Rahul is beaten by the outswinger which moves away sharply.

Rahul then steers a wide delivery past point for a couple and then takes a quick single on the off-side and Rohit picks a single off the last ball.
