ACC's mission to India postponed

The Asian Cricket Council delegation's mission to New Delhi to persuade India to revive its cancelled tour of Pakistan has been postponed but not abandoned, the head of the mission said on Monday.

"We have not given up the hope to meet Indian federal ministers. ACC is keen to make them understand the greater interest of Asian cricket and its development across the region," said Saber Hossain Chowdhury, ACC head.

He said other schedules such as the Asian Test Championship and the Asia Cup Cricket were also important topics.

Chowdhury, along with board members Thilanga Sumathipala of Sri Lanka and Tunku Imran of Malaysia, were to travel to India in the first week of this month.
