Australia crush SA in women's World Cup

Australian batswoman Karen Rolton smashed an unbeaten 107 from 57 balls to guide her team to a convincing nine-wicket victory over South Afica in the latest pool match of the women's World Cup in Christchurch on Wednesday.

Rolton's 66-minute innings was the fastest century in the history of women's one-day internationals and included 18 boundaries.

South Africa 169/8 (Cindy Eksteen 46, Anina Burger 44, Charmaine Mason 3-29), Australia 171/1 (Karen Rolton 107 not out, Belinda Clark 49 not out).

Australia won by nine wickets.
