Aussie itinerary to be finalised on Saturday

The itinerary for Australia's tour of India will be released on Saturday, according to Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary Jaywant Lele.

Lele, on Friday, said the Programme and Fixtures committee, under Kamal Morarka's chairmanship, will finalise the itinerary and table it before the board's core group meeting to be held on Saturday.

"Only after the core group approves the itinerary will we release it to the media," he added.

Meanwhile, former BCCI president Rajsingh Dungarpur described the core group meeting as one of "reformists versus road blockers".

"The reformists must have their say and if someone blocks progress, he is an enemy of Indian cricket. But I am positive about the outcome of the meeting. The board is a mature body and they will take the right decision," he said.

He also had a dig at the board for its "follies and foibles", and said: "If we do some introspection, we will realise what Herculean mistakes we continue to make."

Dungarpur admitted that his presidentship of the BCCI was a total failure.

"Somewhere down the line, you have to be honest and it does not matter if you are 65 years of age," he said.

"When I was on the hot seat, half the time of my term was spent sorting out differences between two senior board members," he said, but refused to divulge any names.
