World Sport bags Lanka TV rights

Sri Lanka's cricket board on Tuesday announced it had awarded television rights for international-level matches played in the country to the World Sport group of Australia for a period of three years.

The Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka said in a statement it had sent a letter of intent to World Sport and expected to finalise an agreement within a month.

The BCCSL did not say how much they expected from the deal, but press reports in Colombo had speculated the amount involved could be about 25 million dollars.
