Aussie PM moves to protect Bradman

Australian Prime Minister John Howard took steps on Thursday to protect cricketing legend Sir Donald Bradman's name from commercial exploitation.

In a statement, Howard said the government has decided to amend corporation law to ban companies from using a name that suggests a connection with Sir Donald.

The world's greatest ever cricket player, 92 last month, has started legal proceedings against a number of companies for exploiting his name in advertising and promoting real estate.
