Probables for Zimbabwe tour to be picked on April 23

The selection committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India will meet in Baroda on April 23 to pick the Indian probables for next month's tour of Zimbabwe.

BCCI secretary Jaywant Lele said the selection committee will be present in full strength for the five-day Ranji Trophy final between hosts Baroda and Railways, starting on Thursday, and will pick the probables on the last day of the match.

"The Indian captain Sourav Ganguly will also attend the meeting. India is to play two Test matches and a triangular series, with the West Indies as the third team." Lele informed.

He added: "The Indians will also play two side games against CFX Academy, at Harare from May 28-30, and Zimbabwe 'A', at Mutare from June 2-4.

The first Test will be at Harare from June 7-11 while the second will be played at Bulawayo from June 15-19. The triangular series will be held from June 23 to July seven.

The 22 probables will attend a conditioning camp before the team is finalised. The venue of the conditioning camp will be decided during the working committee meeting, at Delhi, on April 24.
