Ramnarine and Garrick reprimanded

West Indies' Dinanath Ramnarine and Leon Garrick were reprimanded by match referee Mike Denness for trying to intimidate the umpire on the final day of the fifth test against South Africa on Monday, 23rd April.

Denness said the two had shown dissent after a catch claimed by wicketkeeper Ridley Jacobs off Ramnarine's bowling was turned down by Indian umpire Srinivas Venkataraghavan.

Garrick was fielding at silly point when the incident occurred before lunch. The umpire did not report the incident but Denness said he took independent action.

West Indies won the test by 130 runs but lost the series 2-1.
