Zimbabwe triumph

Brighton Watambwa (C) celebrates the dismissal of Alshariar Rokon

Zimbabwe cruised to an eight-wicket win over Bangladesh in the second Test on Monday.

The match was all over an hour after lunch when Zimbabwe reached 100 for two with Stuart Carlisle on 29 not out and Alistair Campbell on nought.

Opener Guy Whittall, who scored 60, and Carlisle shared a 57-run stand for the second wicket to set up the win and a series 2-0 whitewash.

The home side had been set a target of 100 when they dismissed Bangladesh for 266 after 15 overs of the final day's play.

The visitors had resumed at 219-5 but lost their last four wickets for two runs in the space of four overs.

Fast bowler Brighton Watambwa showed plenty of pace and aggression in taking four for 64.

Top-scorer Habibul Bashar went in the sixth over of the morning after making 76, his second half-century of the match.
