Warne returns, Tendulkar heads top 10 in world rankings

Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne is back in the top 10 of the PricewaterhouseCoopers ratings after an absence of more than two years.

Shane Warne Warne moved up to ninth after helping Australia secure their seventh successive Ashes series win with a seven-wicket victory over England at Trent Bridge on Saturday.

Australia now have three bowlers in the top 10, with Glenn McGrath top and Jason Gillespie in fifth spot.

There are also three Aussies in the top 10 in the batting.

Mark Waugh has crept up one place to 10th while Adam Gilchrist's brilliant series has pushed him up to fourth. Steve Waugh remains second.
