Hearing on Azhar's petition adjourned

The Hyderabad city civil court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of former India cricket skipper Mohammad Azharuddin's main suit, challenging the life ban imposed on him by the Board of Control for Cricket in India in connection with the match-fixing scandal, to September 12.

Second additional Chief Judge J Syamsundar Rao further adjourned the hearing in view of the continuance of the Andhra Pradesh high court's interim orders staying the proceedings in the lower court on a petition filed by the BCCI on July 18.
