Unbeaten 246 by Gagan Khoda
An unbeaten double century by Gagan Khoda propelled Central Zone to 469 for three in their first innings on the second day of the Duleep Trophy match against South Zone in Goa, on Friday.
South Zone were all out for 141 in their first innings on Thursday.
Resuming at his overnight score of 87, Khoda, along with Mohammad Kaif (28), steered Central Zone to 281 for two by lunch. Their 176-run third wicket partnership was broken immediately
on resumption when Kaif (69, with seven fours and one six) was
caught by Tilak Naidu of Ashish Kapoor.
Khoda and Yere Gouda (batting 75) went after the South
bowling and added 187 runs for the fourth wicket and
help their team finish the day on 469 for three off 135 overs, a lead of 328 runs.
Khoda's knock of 246 included 29 hits to the
boundary and five sixes. He faced 416 balls in 544 minutes.
Gouda had eleven fours in his unbeaten 75 when the stumps
were drawn.
