India to play three Tests, tri-series in Zimbabwe

The Indian cricket team will play three Test matches and a limited-overs tri-series during their tour of Zimbabwe in May, officials said on Wednesday.

The tri-series, which also features the West Indies, will take place towards the end of the 47-day tour, starting on May 22, Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary Jaywant Lele said.

The Indians will play two warm-up matches ahead of the first Test in Bulawayo from June 1.

The second Test will be played in Harare from June 8, followed by the third at Bulawayo from June 15.

The tri-series will start on June 23 with the final at Harare on July 8.

The Indian team's itinerary:

May 22-24: Three-day match (venue undecided)
May 27-29: Three-day match (venue undecided)
June 1-5: First Test at Bulawayo
June 8-12: Second Test at Harare
June 15-19: Third Test at Bulawayo

Tri-series:

June 23: Zimbabwe v West Indies, Harare
June 24: India v Zimbabwe, Harare
June 27: India v Zimbabwe, Bulawayo
June 30: India v West Indies, Bulawayo
July 1: Zimbabwe v West Indies, Bulawayo
July 4: India v West Indies, Harare
July 8: Final, Harare
