Asia Cup under-17 draw released

India has been clubbed with holders Sri Lanka in Group 'A' in the ten-nation Asia Cup under-17 cricket tournament, to be played in Dhaka from February 15 to 25.

Other teams in India's group are UAE, Oman and Malaysia.

India's arch rival, runners-up Pakistan is in Group 'B' along with Nepal, hosts Bangladesh, Kuwait and Singapore.

The tournament is to be played on a league-cum-knock-out basis, with the top two teams from each group making it to the semi-finals.

The 11-day tournament has three rest-days

India will open its campaign against on UAE on February 15. On the same day Pakistan will take on Kuwait.

Following is the schedule of the tournament.

February 15: India vs UAE, Pakistan vs Kuwait, Sri Lanka vs Oman, Bangladesh vs Nepal.

February 16: India vs Malaysia, Pakistan vs Nepal, Sri Lanka vs UAE, Bangladesh vs Singapore.

February 17: Pakistan vs Singapore, Sri Lanka vs Malaysia, UAE vs Oman, Nepal vs Kuwait.

February 18: Rest day.

February 19: India vs Oman, Malaysia vs UAE, Bangladesh vs Kuwait, Nepal vs Singapore.

February 20: India vs Sri Lanka, Pakistan vs Bangladesh, Malaysia vs Oman, Singapore vs Kuwait.

February 21: Rest day.

February 22: First semi-final: top of Pool "A" vs 2nd of pool "B".

February 23: Second semi-final:top of pool "B" vs 2nd of pool "A".

February 24: Rest day.

February 25: The final.
