Steve Waugh, Fleming back in Aussie squad

Australia have recalled captain Steve Waugh and swing bowler Damien Fleming in a 14-man squad for their remaining matches in the triangular limited overs series against West Indies and Zimbabwe.

Waugh, 35, has missed Australia's past three matches because of a groin strain. Australia are unbeaten after four appearances.

Fleming, 30, has had an injury-interrupted season, breaking a finger while batting in a grade match in November and suffering a bulging disc in his neck in December.

He has been in excellent form recently including a haul of 3-18 off 10 overs for Australia A against West Indies in Adelaide on January 9.

Fleming, who missed the five-test series against West Indies, said he was "absolutely rapt" to be included. "I've been working hard after a few early-season setbacks," Fleming said.

"I'm really pleased with how the ball has been coming out in the last two weeks and this has given me a lot of confidence.

"The team is playing so well at the moment and spots are rare so I'm just happy to be back."

Western Australian left-hander Simon Katich, 25, who made his debut in Australia's eight-wicket win over Zimbabwe in Melbourne on January 21, has been dropped from the squad.

Waugh will resume the captaincy from stand-in skipper Adam Gilchrist.

Australia's next game is on January 26 against West Indies in Adelaide.

West Indies play Zimbabwe in Sydney on January 23 and in Adelaide on January 25.

Australia (squad of 14): Steve Waugh (captain), Adam Gilchrist (vice-captain), Mark Waugh, Michael Bevan, Damien Martyn, Darren Lehmann, Andrew Symonds, Shane Warne, Ian Harvey, Damien Fleming, Ricky Ponting, Glenn McGrath, Brett Lee, Nathan Bracken.
