Zoysa to miss tri-series due to injury
Sri Lankan left-arm paceman Nuwan Zoysa will miss the triangular one-day series involving India and New Zealand due to an injured ankle, a cricket official said on Monday.
Chairman of Selectors Tikiri Khelgamma told reporters that Zoysa had suffered a stress fracture and could be out for two months, which meant he may also miss a three-test series against India starting on August 14.
Khelgamma said Zoysa was being replaced in the 15-member squad by right-arm medium-pace bowler Dinusha Fernando.
The first match of the tri-series sees the hosts play New Zealand in Colombo on Wednesday.
