Venues changed in Sri Lanka tri-series after cash row

Matches in a triangular one-day tournament involving India, New Zealand and hosts Sri Lanka to be held in the central city of Dambulla have been shifted to Colombo due to a money dispute, the Sri Lankan cricket chief said on Thursday.

"We had some money problems with the contractors of the ground there (Dambulla)," Anura Tennekoon, chief executive of the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka, told Reuters.

"They threatened to go to court against the cricket, so we have shifted the matches as a precautionary measure," he said.

The games scheduled for Dambulla on July 25, 26 and 28 will now be played at Colombo's Premadasa Stadium.

Sri Lanka beat New Zealand by 16 runs in the first match of the tri-series on Wednesday, also at Premadasa.

Remaining matches (with changed venues):

July 20 -- India v New Zealand at Colombo (Day/Night)
July 22 -- India v Sri Lanka at Colombo (D/N)
July 25 -- Sri Lanka v New Zealand at Colombo
July 26 -- India v New Zealand at Colombo
July 28 -- India v Sri Lanka at Colombo
July 31 -- Sri Lanka v New Zealand at Colombo
August 1 -- India v Sri Lanka at Colombo
August 2 -- India v New Zealand at Colombo
August 5 -- Final at Colombo (D/N)
