Caddick ruled out of one-dayers

Pace bowler Andrew Caddick was ruled out of England's opening two matches in the triangular one-day tournament against Pakistan and Australia on Wednesday.

Coach Duncan Fletcher said: "He's got a niggle in his back that's been hurting him. He's played through it before but because of his workload we won't be looking at him until after Lord's."

England play Pakistan at Edgbaston in the opening game of the tournament on Thursday before taking on Australia on Sunday at Bristol.

Fletcher said Caddick would be replaced in the England 14-man squad later on Wednesday.

Caddick just featured in the two-Test series against Pakistan which ended in a 1-1 draw on Monday.

The triangular tournament culminates with a one-off final at Lord's on June 23.
