India 7th in ICC Test table

India and Zimbabwe stay seventh and ninth respectively in the International Cricket Council Test championship table after drawing 1-1 in the series ending last week.

The result of the two-Test encounter in Zimbabwe adds a single point to both countries' totals in the ICC standings issued on Monday.

India now have 10 points from 13 series at an average of 0.77 and Zimbabwe have six points from 13 series at an average of 0.46.

The series was the first between the teams in Zimbabwe, following one off-tests in 1992 and 1998.

The ICC championship was introduced before last month's two Tests between England and Pakistan to add interest and context to the game at the highest level. It reflects results of series over the past five years to give it a starting point.
