Waugh's Aussies arrive in England

Steve Waugh's Australians arrived in England on Tuesday ahead of a triangular one-day tournament and the Ashes series.

"I'm looking forward to my time here," Waugh told reporters at Heathrow airport. "I've had some great tours here."

The Australian captain said he had not been at all surprised by England's impressive run in winning their last four test series, and seven of their last 11 games.

"I'm not surprised by their form at the moment," he said. "They are a good side."

Waugh and his squad arrived in London following a two-day visit to the Gallipoli peninsula in southern Turkey, where thousands of Australian soldiers died during World War One.

Australia play England and Pakistan in a one-day series in June before the five-test Ashes series begins in Birmingham on July 5. The final test is at The Oval starting from August 23.

Australia have won the last six Ashes series, with England's last series triumph dating back to 1986-7.
