England call up Ball, Johnson for India

England have called up Gloucestershire off-spinner Martyn Ball and Somerset pace bowler Richard Johnson to complete their 16-man squad to tour India later this month.

The two, both uncapped, were named on Friday as replacements for Andy Caddick and Robert Croft, who have both opted out of the tour over security concerns.

England will play three Tests next month and return in January for a five-match one-day series.
