Badani submits fitness certificate
Middle-order batsman Hemang Badani on Tuesday said he had sent a fitness certificate to the Board of Control for Cricket in India and Tamil Nadu Cricket Association as his back pain has subsided.
"I had sent the fitness certificate last month," Badani told reporters in Hyderabad.
He said he is looking for another chance in the national squad and would let his bat do the talking.
"Initially, I will be playing six-a-side tournament in
Hong Kong from November 8 and later assist Tamil Nadu in their
Ranji Trophy match against Goa from November 24," he added.
Asked about his chances of getting back into the national
squad in view of the severe competition, Badani said: "It's
true that the fittest survive and there was never so much
stress on fitness. A couple of good knocks in the domestic
circuit will find me a place in the national squad.
"I see no fault in my technique; maybe there was
something bothering my mind. Once you overcome that you are a
success," Badani said, reflecting on at the Sri Lanka tour.
The left-hander, who struggled for form in Sri Lanka,
experienced back pain during the Moin-ud-Dowla tourney in Hyderababd and was undergoing treatment since September end.
