Special committee to oversee Bihar cricket

Board of Control for Cricket in India president Jagmohan Dalmiya has constituted a special committee, under the chairmanship of board vice-president P K Mishra, to oversee the conduct of matches in domestic tournaments in Bihar for the 2001-2002 season.

B N Singh was appointed convenor of the special committee, while the other members are Ramesh Saxena, Alok Raj, Manoj Singh and S R Bose, according to a BCCI statement on Wednesday.

Dalmiya also set up a selection committee to pick Bihar teams for senior and junior tournaments conducted by the BCCI.

National selector Ashok Malhotra was appointed chairman of the five-member committee, which also includes former Indian wicketkeeper Syed Saba Karim, ex-pacer Randhir Singh, Sunil Singh and Ashish Sinha.

Dalmiya also informed that he would shortly appoint a BCCI observer to oversee the conduct of matches in domestic tournaments in Goa.
